AI is a program that has learned patterns from enormous amounts of text, images, or sound. It "guesses" the most likely correct answer — based on everything it has seen. It is not intelligent like a human. It has no thoughts, feelings, or understanding.
AI is not conscious. It does not know that it exists. It does not make its own decisions. It can be wrong — sometimes with great confidence. It is a tool, like a calculator — just far more complex.
