12 equal sections, 2.5 cm each
Measure twelve equal sections
Use a ruler and a pencil. Each section is 2.5 cm wide — that's what makes every pleat the same size.

Fold an accordion fan
Back and forth along the marks. Press each crease firmly with your fingertip.
Step 3 of 6
Glue the ends into a ring
Add a touch of glue to both ends and bend the strip around until the ends meet.
Step 4 of 6
Press into a star
Squeeze the top edges toward the middle — like closing a flower. The pleats pop open into a star.

Glue the button in the centre
A button or coin holds everything together — and becomes the heart of the rosette.

12 pleats × 30° = a perfect circle
Each pleat covers exactly 30 degrees. Twelve pleats times 30 degrees is 360 degrees — one full circle. That's why the rosette must be round.
